The umbrella is made of solid albasia wood. This wood is also known as Sengon (Latin name: Albizia Falcata). The natural color of albasia wood is a very light yellowish. It is a type of pine wood. It is a popular choice of plywood in parts of Asia. Albasia wood is lighter in weight than most types of pine. This wood is mainly found in Indonesia. Albasia can easily grow in various climates. But mainly in areas where rainfall is more or less frequent. That is why it is easily found in large quantities in most parts of Indonesia and grows rapidly. The Albasia tree can be up to 1 meter in diameter and about 30 meters tall.
Albasia Falcata is a softwood. That is why it is easily processed but very durable, too.
Shading is done with polyester fabric. Polyester is a general term for any fabric that is made with polyester yarns or fibers and is essentially a type of plastic. Polyester fibers are very strong and, at the same time, lightweight. Polyester is very resistant to many chemicals, shrinking and stretching. On the wooden parts of the umbrella a dusting is usually enough for cleaning but avoid using chemical cleaners. Polyester fabric is easy to maintain as well because it is a quick drying fabric and can be washed and air dried quickly.
